Flo Sampson hails from Big Pond, Cape Breton , and is a well-known piano player who has contributed in many ways to the East Coast music scene, celebrated for her high-energy performances. She holds a trophy of her own — in 2014, she was chosen to receive the Stompin' Tom Award, which honours a person whose work has been the bedrock of the East Coast music scene.
