Broad Cove Mountain Trail

Short steep climb to a panoramic ridge over Ingonish and the Atlantic.

A 1.9-kilometre round-trip climb of roughly 130 metres through hardwood forest to an open ridge with views of Ingonish, Middle Head, and the Atlantic. The trail is steep but short without switchbacks, well marked, and offers a manageable descent—a solid sunset choice. Bring water and proper footwear; the trailhead lot off the Cabot Trail north of Ingonish is small and requires a Parks Canada day pass.

Getting there

Parks Canada day pass required. Park at the campground.
